In partnership with your School District, our Dual Credit program can give you the chance to be VIU student while still in high school.
- Take a university course - get dual credits!
- Get your certification in a Trades Foundation/Level 1 program or a Health and Human Services certificate program - get dual credits!
What does dual credit mean? It means credits you earn in a VIU course go directly toward your high school and VIU transcripts.

Interested?
- Learn how to apply and contact your Career Centre Coordinator (CTC) and find out if they will pay for your course or program in 2024-25.
- Meet with your high school Counsellor to plan your course selection for Grade 10, Grade 11 and Grade 12 - planning will ensure that you meet any course prerequisites (English, Science and Math) needed to take a VIU course.
